In a surprising collaboration that breaks conventional expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Revealed
According to the official announcement, "A mysterious meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of banned ceremonies and fearsome transformations resonate through the shadows." The plot introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grottoβa key location from Attack on Titanβto save her ally from a secret cult.
The adventure concentrates on "strange trials and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Changes
The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Additional Features
Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an unique katana alongside numerous objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
- Titan-based outfit for Yasuke
- Mikasa outfit for Naoe
- Special arms

Latest Free Story Content
This update also brings the game's newest free story episode, titled "The Mystery."
